HiveIQ Queen Excluder

The HiveIQ Queen Excluder is a galvanized metal excluder sized for the HiveIQ 9-frame system. Place it between the brood boxes and honey supers to keep the queen out of the honey crop. Worker bees pass through freely; the queen and drones can't.

It's the same excluder included in the HiveIQ Double Deep + Medium Kit and the Base & Lid Kit, sold separately here for replacements or additional hives.

Specifications

How to Use

Place the excluder above your top brood box and below the first honey super. The queen stays in the brood nest below; honey supers above stay brood-free. During inspections, lift the excluder straight up — it cleans up easily with a hive tool if propolis builds up on the mesh.
